i just checked the airfare prices for RT flights from LAX to TO for 9/1 to 9/5.. crazy $$$ (between $450-1000+!!). so was thinking of another option for those who are cost-conscious or who have time to do some sightseeing before the tourney. the closest US city to TO is probably buffalo, ny (which is about a 2 hours drive to TO) — so maybe folks who have some time to fly in a bit earlier can do that and share the costs of a van rental and just drive up? =)

Does the DSTS reverse tourney look like we are not having a good turn out? If we don’t have a good number of teams signed up, are we still going to host the tourney, or just cancel it?

If we cancel, a good alternative is to run a garage sale at my place. My neighborhood holds a community wide garage sale that same day from 8am to 1pm. If all of us have things we can donate, I can collect these things and try to see what we can make out of it.

What do you think? Or, I can run this sale for the first half of the day then join you guys at the tournament later. I just think this is a good chance for us to try to sell what we don’t use or need anyway.
